From a simple locksmith's shop to a market-leading group - The NAGÉV story in brief
NAGÉV Ltd. was founded by János Antal Nagy in 1991. It is a privately owned company specialising mainly in the manufacture of grating solutions, with 100% sole ownership. In the beginning the company operated in a plant of only 25 m². However, thanks to persistent work and continuous innovation, it has grown steadily over the last 3 decades.
In 1998, János Antal Nagy took the next step and established a modern hot-dip galvanizing plant in Tiszacsege, which met the requirements of the time in every respect. This plant is still indispensable for the surface protection of steel products and represents the hot-dip galvanizing base of Eastern Hungary.
Our founder, as a forward-looking person, has always attached great importance to development, so 14 years after the establishment of NAGÉV Kft., he founded NAGÉV RÁCS Kft. in Hajdúböszörmény. In 2011, NAGÉV Group expanded its operations to the centre of the country and established the country's most modern and largest galvanizing brick plant near Budapest, in the industrial area of Ócsa. The NAGÉV CINK Kft. plant, which represents the highest standard of galvanizing available today.
The group, which has a history of more than 30 years, is characterised by a transparent ownership structure and stable generational change, with two owners: the founder János Antal Nagy and his daughter Dr. Judit Nagy. The Hungarian-owned domestic group currently comprises four member companies: two are engaged in hot-dip galvanizing, one in the production of gratings, and the fourth in trading, business and professional consulting.
The name NAGÉV has grown into a well-known and respected group of companies, both nationally and internationally, with the aim of offering only the highest quality products and services to its customers.
