The NAGÉV Group is one of the leading Hungarian hot dip galvanizing companies, 100% Hungarian owned, with decades of experience and an unrivalled plant size, making it a prominent player in the Hungarian market. When timeless, environmentally friendly and economical solutions are required, NAGÉV Group is at the disposal of its customers in two different locations across the country: its Tiszacsege site in Hajdú-Bihar County is the galvanizing base of Eastern Hungary, and its Ócsa facility in Pest County is the largest and most modern hot-dip galvanizing plant in the country.
HOT-DIP GALVANISING: AN INVESTMENT FOR DECADES
In our state-of-the-art plants, we provide decades of surface protection for steel structures and small steel products. In galvanizing, properly prepared products are protected against corrosion for 40-50 years, but even under increased corrosion loads, protection can be provided for at least 30 years. Furthermore, we offer a unique passivation service in the country to protect already galvanised products against white rust.
NAGÉV = PROFESSIONALISM, PREDICTABILITY, ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
NAGÉV CINK Ltd. works with so-called zero waste technology, which means that all used materials and by-products can be recycled. The chemical pre-treatment of the steel structure surfaces is carried out in a closed area and the galvanizing vat is covered with a high-performance exhaust hood. This ensures that clean air is released into the environment, from which all harmful substances are filtered out.
THE MOST COMMON USES OF HOT-DIP GALVANISING:
- motorway guardrails;
- board holders;
- steel structures for bridge accessories;
- street furniture in public areas;
- electrical lighting and wiring columns;
- constraints;
- staircases;
- engineering and steel building structures;
- trailers;
- chassis;
- agricultural buildings and machinery.
3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE HOT DIP GALVANISING:
1. EFFECTIVE PROTECTION INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
During hot-dip galvanising, a strong, cohesive bonded coating is formed on the surface of the steel base metal due to the thermo-diffusion of the steel product immersed in a 450 °C molten metal. One of the main advantages of hot-dip galvanising over other surface treatment processes, such as painting, is that when structures are dipped in a galvanising vat, a galvanised coating is formed on the hard-to-reach (internal) parts of the structure. This ensures effective corrosion protection over the entire surface of the steel structure.
2. AN INVESTMENT FOR DECADES
Hot dip galvanising is the only surface protection process that provides corrosion protection for at least 30 years for a one-off fee. It keeps building structures and ironwork maintenance-free for decades, with no need to renovate after a few years.
3. THE GREENEST CORROSION PROTECTION
Hot dip galvanising, unlike other surface protection methods such as painting, uses only materials that are naturally occurring. Zinc, the metal zinc, is found in various natural salts and in the soil in ionic form; zinc is essential for living organisms. The zinc coating is completely natural and free of chemicals. It also has the advantage that the coating does not peel off from hot-dip galvanised structures due to rainwater, fire or mechanical impact, thus ensuring long-lasting protection.
Another advantage of hot-dip galvanising is that structures with a galvanised coating can be 100% recycled without the need for any chemical treatment. No harmful substances are produced during recycling and no other (chemical) substances are left behind that would have to be disposed of in a special procedure.
+ 1: FIRE-HARDENED PROTECTION
Another outstanding advantage of hot-dip galvanizing is that the surface of the coated steel structures is non-flammable, so they do not emit toxic substances or gases for the human body or the living environment in the event of an unexpected fire. Thanks to this property, in the event of a fire, the supporting structures will remain stable for longer, allowing more time for rescue operations to be carried out.
